Green Steps at NÖKISS 2021
The largest Austrian children's festival with up to 3000 participants per day has taken place every year since 1971 on the spacious property of the Herzogenburg Abbey. For the 50th anniversary of the event, Green Steps is offering exciting activities for young and aspiring naturalists for the first time.
Let’s celebrate the end of the summer holidays together! Stop by our booth in the old part of the abbey and let us guide you into the nature of the monastery garden. From Friday to Sunday on the last August and on the first weekend in September we offer you the following program:
10:30 - 12:00
Terrific Trees
Discover the tasty trees in the monastery orchard with all your senses
14:00 - 15:30
Ingenious Insects
Find Flip the grasshopper, Maja the bee and Thekla the spider in the monastery garden
16:30 - 18:00
Healing Herbs
Healing herbs in the monastery garden which even Ronja the robber daughter knows
Parents of children younger than 6 years of age are as always welcomg to participate in our activities. Daily tickets can be purchased for the entire festival on the website der NÖKISS. You can collect your impact points by registering additionally on our sustainability learning platform, where we have set up NÖKISS as a pilot community. We look forward to meet you there!
