Families

At Green Steps we believe that repeated exposure to the outdoor environment is crucial for the balanced development of a person, in particular during the early stages of our life. For that reason, we organize regular events all year round and have developed an ongoing journey of Nature discovery starting from the age of 1.5 years.

Companies

We organize meaningful environmental education events that align with sustainable management strategies. We design experiences which teach genuine care for planet and people, integrate HR development goals and deliver programs that create lasting bonds. We are a bridge between the urban mindset and the rural regions, its outdoors, wildlife and traditions.

We also aim to make environmental education more accessible to the youth in collaboration with corporate sponsorships that allow us to extend our reach to communities with fewer opportunities.

For Nature Guides

We empower adults to guide children into a sound 21st century adulthood. Acquire the self-confidence to observe, understand and respond to children’s needs. Our training is set against the spreading helplessness which many experience in an increasingly complex world, a helplessness, which forces us to hand over the fate of our most beloved ones to institutions which serve their own, but not our children’s interests.

Our online training can be accessed by anybody from anywhere. Get in touch with our local offices if you want to participate in a personalized training.

For Students

We offer to high school and undergraduate students a 70-100 hours curriculum, which certifies that they have obtained the required credits of community work needed to qualifiy for foreign high schools and universities. It is possible for students of suitable programs (environmental sciences, sustainable tourism managment, child psychology) to accredit this applied coursework with their universities.

Green Steps Seoul represents the REWILD YOURSELF exhibition at Sinsa House in Seoul

News

In the fall, Ellen was part of an exhibition at Sinsa House in Seoul showcasing sustainable efforts in the Korean fashion and automotive industries. In a joint effort between environmentalist David de Rothschild and Hyundai Motor Cars, Seoul citizens were invited to the REWILD YOURSELF project. Here, city dwellers were able to step out of their busy indoor city lives and into a forest-like natural environment to experience its impact on them. Some visitors said it took them right back to their childhood….. find out more details through the interview below.

The Human Being as Ecosystem Service Provider

Environment

This essay calls upon the reader to consider human resources as natural resources and the human species as a keystone species which can destroy and create ecosystems. Integrating human ecosystem services into the global economy requires a fair and decentralized remuneration which empowers individuals to contribute to a solution of the climate crisis. The introduction of a universal basic income which complements a shrinking labor market and distributes the productivity gains harvested through automation and digitalization is a solution to the environmental and social crisis.
